About
What is this?
This carrd is a sort of archive for the poses, scenes and housing projects I made in FFXIV. While I also upload most of these things to my social media account(s), I prefer having an independent backup that's easier to navigate than having to scroll through a hundred posts.... okay I don't post that much, but you get the idea. Also, carrd is just nicer to look at.
Who are you?
... I thought I'd introduced myself on the first page? I'm Myrrh - no you can't have my real name - and I've been playing FFXIV since Shadowbringers. Since then I've sunk way too much time into the game.I primarily do... whatever I feel like doing. Mostly gposing and housing, but also odd side content like allied society quests, blue mage, anything that unlocks new furniture and so on.That's it, really.
How do you take pictures?
I use several plugins to create the scenes I like to depict in my pictures.
I use Brio to spawn actors and props, load animations and manipulate poses, in combination with Ktisis for additional light sources and to manipulate the environment. Finally, to pose in instanced areas that otherwise have a timer, I use Hyperborea.
Almost all the props I use are vanilla, and spawned in using brio. I will usually mention modded props when used.
Finally, I use a modified version of the Love & Live shader from the Orbit Shaders for ReShade, and use GIMP for post editing to adjust lighting, fix issues or add details.
Why are you not posting?
I took an indefinite break from FFXIV in June 2025.I'm not sure when I'll be returning to the game, or if at all, but I'll leave this page up as a pleasant memory for now.Nowadays, I have a lot of mixed feelings about the game, none of which I care to outline here. If you've read the discourse surrounding FFXIV recently, I'm sure you've heard them all before.If you're an FFXIV player and are as passionate about it like I was, I hope you can take the pictures I took as an inspiration to go out there and take some yourself. I had a great time gposing and it made me appreciate the game in ways I hadn't before.I sincerely hope you find joy in Eorzea. I certainly did.
